Good governance is a very hot topic today among community and voluntary organisations.  What with, complying with the Governance Code, the Fundraising Principles, meeting the requirements of an increasingly complex regulatory environment, and new financial reporting requirements, meeting contemporary good governance standards demands a lot of time and attention from Boards and senior executives.  The high numbers of organisations attending training sessions on the Governance Code is an indication of the levels of interest in compliance.
